Rifle season starts the last week
of October and runs through the end of November. The
bulls start leaving the cows this time of year and it
is not uncommon to see 5-10 bulls in a bachelor herd.
The weather can range from 60 above to 20 below. Our
hunters stay warm and comfortable in their Accommodations
and our camp cook makes sure there's plenty of food.
Opening day will find you at the
top of the mountain well before daylight. Average shots
range between 100 - 300 yards. Snow could fall anytime
during rifle season which makes it easier to track movement
of the Deer and Elk. Mule Deer bucks come into full
rut from the middle to the end of November. We place
a 4 point (Western Count) or better restriction on the
Mule Deer bucks we harvest. This has proven very successful
as the number of trophy bucks is increasing each year.
